Designing a Personalized Video Platform: The Role of Design in the Success of Dzicace
Dzicace is a personalized video platform that connects fans with their favorite stars. The platform allows users to receive personalized video messages from their favorite stars, making it a unique and memorable experience for users.
02 | Role & Deliverables
I conducted extensive research on user behavior and preferences to better understand what users expected from a personalized video platform. This research helped me identify pain points and areas that needed improvement in the current market. Based on this, I created a design strategy that aimed to provide a user-friendly platform that allowed users to easily connect with their favorite stars.
In terms of visuals, I used bold and bright colors to create a playful atmosphere that resonated with the target audience. I also incorporated images of popular stars to create an emotional connection with users. I designed a clean and minimalistic interface, making it easy for users to navigate the platform. Additionally, I used animations and transitions to provide a seamless user experience and create a sense of excitement and anticipation for users.
03 | Challenges
Designing Dzicace presented challenges such as creating a user-friendly and personalized platform, developing a unique visual identity, managing content quality, and ensuring a seamless user experience.
04 | Outcome & Impact
Despite not shipping the project, the outcomes of Dzicace were still valuable. Conducting over 100 user interviews with the final prototype provided valuable insights into user behavior and preferences, which can be used to guide the future direction of the project.
These insights helped to identify areas that needed improvement and allowed the team to make informed decisions about the future of the platform. Additionally, the design strategy, visuals, and motion graphics developed for Dzicace can be repurposed for future projects, making the development process more efficient and streamlined.

Ideation
During the ideation stage, I focused on understanding the client's requirements and user needs, researched the market and analyzed competitors, generated several ideas, created a user journey map, and developed low-fidelity prototypes for testing and improving design options.
The ideation stage was critical in defining the direction of Dzicace and creating a design strategy that met both the client's and user's needs.

Design system
To streamline our design process and facilitate collaboration with the development team, we adopted a portion of the Shakra design system. This allowed us to use pre-existing design components, such as typography and color palettes, to speed up our workflow and ensure consistency across the platform.

01.
User testing and feedback are crucial for improving the user experience
By conducting over 100 user interviews with the final prototype, I gained valuable insights into user behavior, preferences, and pain points. This allowed me to identify areas for improvement and make changes that would positively impact the user experience.
For example, I learned that users found the purchasing and delivery process to be somewhat confusing and required additional guidance. Based on this feedback, i was able to refine the user flow and provide clearer instructions, resulting in a more seamless experience for users.
In addition to identifying pain points, user testing and feedback also provided valuable insights into user preferences. For example, I discovered that users were more likely to purchase personalized videos if they had a greater sense of personal connection with the star. Based on this insight, I was able to make adjustments to the platform to facilitate a stronger sense of personal connection, resulting in increased user engagement and satisfaction.
02.
The importance of a clean user interface
Clean and contemporary user interface is a key takeaway from the DZicace project and highlights the importance of prioritizing simplicity and usability in any design project. By keeping the user interface clean and uncluttered, we guarantee a more intuitive and engaging experience for users.
